Simon Mawson
Senior Vice President and General Manager, Electronic & Specialty Materials
Simon Mawson serves as Senior Vice President and General Manager for the Electronic & Specialty Materials (ESM) business within Solstice Advanced Materials. He has deep technical expertise and broad global experience, with a focus on building and enhancing customer relationships while driving long-term growth through innovation and operational excellence.
Prior to joining Solstice, Simon served as President of Advanced Industrial Solutions (AIS) at Honeywell, where he oversaw a diverse portfolio including Honeywell Electronic Materials, High Purity Chemicals, Spectra Fibers, and Specialty Additives. In this role, Simon drove growth by accelerating the product pipeline while ensuring reliable, high-quality delivery and maintaining low costs to serve customers worldwide.
Before Honeywell, Simon held senior regional and global leadership roles at Henkel Adhesive Technologies from 2014 to 2022, joining the company as Senior Vice President. During his tenure, he led the business in North and Latin America and the global industrial assembly business, including serving as Head of Business Accelerators and Incubators. Earlier in his career, he held key commercial, R&D, and marketing positions at Union Carbide, Dow Chemical, and Rohm and Haas, with leadership responsibility across the Americas and EMEA.
Simon holds a bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering from North Carolina State University, a Ph.D. in chemical engineering from the University of Texas at Austin, and an MBA from Duke University.
